After winning numerous art awards and an art scholarship Heather Hengels studied painting, and won their logo contest at Tarleton State University. Afterwards, she transferred to the University of North Texas in Denton, and continued to win numerous awards and worked on commission projects during her stay. She graduated with a Bachelors in Art Education, which she has since used to teach at the public school and college level for 21 years.

When  Carol got tired of retirement, she decided  the family should open a Studio-Art Store.  With the advice of husband/dad Frank, Carol & Heather opened "Finer Things for You llc"  They are all excited to be in Clifton and happily working and teaching others there crafts.
